Da Vinci The Genius Exhibit at Tampa Museum of Science and Industry
One of the special engagement features currently being displayed at the Museum of Science and Technology in Tampa, Florida is the traveling exhibit of Da Vinci The Genius and The Secrets of the Mona Lisa . The museum frequently hosts these special engagement traveling exhibits and they are a regular favorite of their consistent patrons. For people who are visiting Tampa, they are generally surprised by the quality of the exhibits and general features of the museum and also enjoy the limited time offerings. Some of the regular visitors to Tampa include a calendar of the traveling exhibits and plan their trips around it.
The Da Vinci exhibit has been eagerly awaited and comes from Italy. It was created by Il Genio di Leonardo da Vinci Museo and Grande Exhibitions to demonstrate the various aspects of this great artist’s life. And while he is predominately known for his art, he was actually much more than just a painter. Da Vinci brilliance extended into the sciences and he was an inventor, an anatomist, an architect and an engineer.
This incredible display is interactive and includes life size machines that were designed and built by Italian Artisans from Da Vinci’s codices. They include examples of his most famous artwork and 3D animations of them and anatomical sketches. The paintings included in this aspect are the Mona Lisa , The Last Supper and Vitruvian Man. This is definitely the most comprehensive of exhibit that has ever been based on the life and works of Leonardo Da Vinci and it will be making stops across the world. There are only a few designated locations in the United States and the museum in Tampa is one of them. It is scheduled to run at the MOSI through May 31. This exhibit alone is worth not only a trip to the museum but also a trip to Tampa.
