The Trammell and Margaret Crow Collection of Asian Art in Dallas is a fine collection that includes more than 300 paintings, sculptures and architectural items, which have been a part of the personal collection of the Dallas real estate king Trammell Crow.

Both Trammell and Margaret originally collected for their own personal enjoyment, like their 1,200 piece Chinese jade collection or the world’s 2nd largest impeccable crystal ball. Their Japanese paintings and antique Indian stone statues are museum quality and some of the pieces date back to 3,500 B.C., while others date back less than 400 years old.

There are about 30 bronze sculptures on the grounds of the building located at 2010 Flora Street, which is within walking distance to all the downtown 5 star Dallas hotels , the Arts District and very close to the Dallas Museum of Art . While walking through the grounds, you’ll also enjoy soothing music being played through inconspicuous speakers nicely hidden throughout. Head towards the front of the building, on the Harwood Street side, where there is a larger-than-life sculpture of a horse.

If you’re staying downtown, The Trammell Crow Center is worth a visit, especially the shaded sculpture garden featuring Rodin’s ‘Genius of Eternal Rest’, Maillol’s ‘Nymph With Flowers’ and Bourdelle’s ‘Horse for Alvear Monument’. What’s even better is the museum is free of charge.

The European predilection for the remix is rather high at the moment, and has been a metaphor for culture, history, and politics, along with its usefulness in music. Its applications in other realms is one that adds an instant irony to any situation, and makes it possible for all sorts of meta-commentary. It’s very popular today, especially among the growing underground, subterranean, alternative cultures throughout the continent. At its roots, the origins are certainly in hiphop, which comes from a tradition of rapping that has origins on the African continent. Although the origins could also be in avant-garde art, which began in France, with the first cave paintings or perhaps with the invention of dreaming in the 20th century.

Perhaps its origins are hard to find, or elusive, or perhaps they come to wind around each other in unusual ways that suggest all of these histories are true originators, and they are all uniquely connected. The best artistic minds are the ones that can make the connections for people, and in Montenegro, one of the great minds is very certainly Rambo Amadeus . He was born Antonije Pusic, in 1963, and his first album came out in 1988, O tugo jesenja. He is a musician, and is often called a hiphop artist, and both monikers are really just scratching the surface, but scratching is one of his skills, certainly.

In Montenegro, the hotel selection is excellent, and in the past few years, it has become a tourist attraction that has helped restore some of its pre-troubles popularity. The mountains are some of the most rugged in the world, and the beaches are worthy of evoking a longing in the most hardened old sailor. The country itself, then, is a geographical remix of the best landscapes on earth, and it makes sense that there would be an artist to try to capture it all. Amadeus considers himself a media manipulator, among other things, and he’s been very successful at creating art out of a desire to move things, and found a way early on to make comments when no one else felt like talking.

One of the special engagement features currently being displayed at the Museum of Science and Technology in Tampa, Florida is the traveling exhibit of Da Vinci The Genius and The Secrets of the Mona Lisa . The museum frequently hosts these special engagement traveling exhibits and they are a regular favorite of their consistent patrons. For people who are visiting Tampa, they are generally surprised by the quality of the exhibits and general features of the museum and also enjoy the limited time offerings. Some of the regular visitors to Tampa include a calendar of the traveling exhibits and plan their trips around it.

The Da Vinci exhibit has been eagerly awaited and comes from Italy. It was created by Il Genio di Leonardo da Vinci Museo and Grande Exhibitions to demonstrate the various aspects of this great artist’s life. And while he is predominately known for his art, he was actually much more than just a painter. Da Vinci brilliance extended into the sciences and he was an inventor, an anatomist, an architect and an engineer.

This incredible display is interactive and includes life size machines that were designed and built by Italian Artisans from Da Vinci’s codices. They include examples of his most famous artwork and 3D animations of them and anatomical sketches. The paintings included in this aspect are the Mona Lisa , The Last Supper and Vitruvian Man. This is definitely the most comprehensive of exhibit that has ever been based on the life and works of Leonardo Da Vinci and it will be making stops across the world. There are only a few designated locations in the United States and the museum in Tampa is one of them. It is scheduled to run at the MOSI through May 31. This exhibit alone is worth not only a trip to the museum but also a trip to Tampa.

Have you gone on an art tour to Spain. Find a cozy room in one of many quaint hotels. Malaga Spain is the birth city of Pablo Picasso and you don’t want to miss it. Right in the city of the sun you will find the Picasso Museum. Barcelona has been claiming to be the home of Picasso and he may have lived there off and on over the years but Malaga is his birth home. Barcelona has tried to hang on and did finally build a Picasso museum as well but what it mainly houses the works of a longtime friend of Picasso.

The Picasso Museum in Barcelona opened finally in 1966. There you can see many early works of art from they young Picasso. Childhood drawings done when he was ten to fourteen when he was in La Coruna. You can also see his blue period paintings. Also, the Las Meninas, the 44 cubist studies. Visitors can also take the walk out into the city and see the path of his life, which include the family apartments and the artists favorites places.

There is another intimate Museum of Picasso in Andalucian city of Malaga which is were Picasso was born. This museum houses the private pieces that was given to family, friends or kept for himself. The most noted painting he made for himself was of his wife who was deemed insane. He painted the Olga Kokhlova con Mantilla in 1917. Most of these pieces where give to the museum by Picasso’s Daughter-in-law and his grandson. After visiting the museum visitors can also take a tour of the artists childhood home which also has some sketches and sculptures.

Madrid is were enthusiasts can find Picasso’s most famous work, the Guernica. A black and white canvas displaying his shocking view of the German bombing of the basque Village. So if you are fortunate enough to see his whole path then try to start at the old Roman Palace in Malaga which was birthplace of such an extraordinary artist.
