Purchasing and installing a hot tub in your own backyard can be an extremely exciting and fun. Meanwhile, with so many options available and so many different functions and reasons for their purchase it can also be somewhat confusing and possibly even stressful for the consumer. This is particularly disturbing when given that one of the primary purposes of a hot tub is to reduce stress and offer relaxation. This is why great companies such as choosehottubsdirect.com are focused on guiding the customer through the purchasing process as well as to ensure a quality product.

With such a diverse amount of lifestyle perspectives it makes sense that the intended function of a personal hot tub will also be diverse. For this reason it is highly recommended that before making your purchase you make list of priorities for how you wish to use your tub. This is frequently taken into consideration with the overall design of a backyard. Some people are extremely health oriented and wish to create a therapeutic environment. Flowers can be planted around the hot tub area to assist in establishing an aromatherapy atmosphere and often there will be designated yoga and tai chi spaces near by. Instead of an outdoor barbeque, they may have a tea station with a mediation rug and soft outdoor furniture.

Of course there are also those families that have the strong intention of using their hot tubs for entertainment purposes and want to transform their backyard into a party zone. Barbeques and or elaborate backyard kitchens and bars are often included with these plans as are small golf putting yards or croquet games. Volley ball and sometimes even a dance floor help to complete this theme. Meanwhile, for the consumer that isn’t looking to completely redesign their backyard landscape and simply wants to add a hot tub, this is not intended to add work to their purchase. It is also possible and common to choose a hut tub and simply add it to the already existing yard features. Whatever the reason for a hot tub purchase, it should be fun and provide a product that will bring years of joy.

The Youth Olympics with occur in Singapore, August 14-26, 2010.  The Nanyang School of Art at the University of Design and Media, challenged the children of Singapore to a contest.  They are to come up with ideas for a mascot, which will capture the flavor of Singapore and the spirit generated by the games.  Some students are even creating a promotional film, a small trailer meant to advertise the coming events.  This is a true five star Singapore enterprise.  The Nanyang style of painting has been famous in Singapore for some time, this is an endeavor to bring together the world of art and the world of sports, two of the important aspects that contribute to societies and enrich the lives of those living among them.  A very famous and respected cartoonist of Singapore, Johnny Lau, is the leading voice behind the projects.  This is not simply a school project, not purely academic.  The students will be pitching their ideas and concepts in the real business and advertising world.

This is teaching the students the basics.  Some have found that original ideas must be scrapped in lieu of better ideas, and that sometimes it’s just not so bad to start over.  Some are becoming involved in the hi-tech world of computer animation and modeling, wherein they may have never been exposed to it before.  Some students came up with the concept of digitally fingerprinting those attending, and then combining the fingerprints, an artistic way to express the attendance and participating visitors, as all will be combined in just one print.  This is meant to increase the feeling and the participation of all those attending.

Another idea the students have been working on, is the ‘chill-out’ area.  One more way the arts and sports are coming together, this is a pavilion set up for musicians to play, and where the athletes can come and take a rest, to relax with the music before the competitions begin.  International participants will listen to drums and guitars, while stretching out on hammocks and chaise lounges.  The students are taking their responsibilities seriously, some commenting that they’ve been ‘up all night’ working out the logistics of their ideas.  And they are digging it.  It’s become much more than a school project in Singapore, it has become a mission taken to heart by the young ones of this country.

Newmarket, England is just about sixty-five miles outside of London and has become a cosmopolitan city that nears that of London through the international interest in and tourism due to one industry.  Newmarket is in the county of Suffolk and as the name suggests is a market village, but what Newmarket has become famous for, throughout history and in current times, is the horse racing industry.  Not only are the largest training centers in England found here, but in the world as well.  Top breeders hold auctions, state of the art veterinary hospitals and research centers are located in this small town.  The industry has come to support the town and and to create business for the cafes, the Newmarket hotel business, as well as the market shops and restaurants.  The National Horse Racing Museum and an equine health center offer education and history, and even a pool for the soon to be famous to swim in, horses not jockeys.  And leading out from these centers, trainers and their horses are provided with routes set up specifically for the gallops home.

The racing of horses in Newmarket dates back almost 900 years.  This makes the town the earliest post-classical, recorded location of the sport.  Popularity was increased during the early 17th century through King James I.  The first wagered race took place in 1634, and was the result of the involvement and interest of King Charles.  The administration of the Jockey’s club is in London, however the clubhouse is in Newmarket.  A breeding center for thoroughbreds, The National Stud, was opened by Queen Elizabeth in 1967 and remains to be one of the few places around the world to attract international interest.  There are almost 3,000 horses cared for and living inNewmarket at any given time.  And a quarter of the jobs relate to the industry.  Most of the stables are in the middle of the town, most of land is dedicated to the horses and to the breeding of them.  This has affected and perhaps even created, the evolution of a different side to the industry and that is the sport painters.  Many have produced on canvas what occurs in life, as PeterTillemans and John Wootton have painted scenes from the stables to the finish lines.
